Item# (PN): PX165 Shipping and Payment
The PX165 differential pressure transducer series provides a solution to measure differential pressure in low and ultra low ranges, down to 24,9 Pa. These sensors are quite compact, coming in at only 3 x 4,2 x 1 cm and weigh just 10g. This makes them ideal for circuit board (PCB) mounted applications or when space is at a premium. They come standard with pins but are also compatible with a JST BHR-03VS-1 connector for quick electrical connections.
A particular advantage to purchasing this low differential pressure solution from Omega is the flexibility to order large quantities for OEM applications or lower quantities that are reasonably priced for small projects.
The new PX165 series also serves as a suitable replacement in many cases for our PX160 series that contained PX162, PX163, and PX164 part numbers.
The Static Pressure should be applied to both ports simultaneously to avoid exceeding the Proof Pressure rating.

Pressure Transducers and Transmitters
A pressure transducer, often called a pressure transmitter, is a sensor that converts pressure into an analog electrical signal. Although there are various types of transducers, one of the most common is the strain-gage wheatstone bridge pressure transducer.
The conversion of pressure into an electrical signal is achieved by the physical deformation of strain gages which are bonded into the diaphragm of the pressure transducer and wired into a wheatstone bridge configuration. Pressure applied to the transducer produces a deflection of the diaphragm which introduces strain to the gages. The strain will produce an electrical resistance change proportional to the pressure...
