Item# (PN): OC502-t Shipping and Payment
OC502-t is a Calibrator-Multimeter for generation of currents 0/4 to 22mA in Source or Sink Mode and voltages 0 to 14V. External voltages ±2V, ±20V and ±200VDC and currents of up to ±100mA can be measured simultaneously.
Two mV-Ranges 0-28mV and 0-560mV are available for calibration of Strain Gauges circuits, low signal amplifiers, Transmitter signal circuits and other mV-Applications.
DIN Thermocouples J, K, N, R, S, T, B, E can be simulated. The required sensor type will be selected and the temperature value set with the keyboard. The temperature value is shown on the display and the corresponding mV signal is available at the output terminals. Internal cold junction compensates the termination against the ambient temperature. The compensation can be switched off.
The calibrator operates from an internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery which permits 9 hours of operation with 20mA output current. All measuring ranges can be calibrated individually by using the internal calibration software. The calibrator is shipped with battery charger, two cables, calibration sheet and owner's manual.
Functions:
- Tare, Filter and Backlight can be selected.
- Direct selection of the output signal value with the keyboard.
The current can be set from 0 to 22.000 mA, the voltage from 0 to 14.000 V. - Rising or falling ramps 0-14 V or 0-22 mA with selectable increments.
- Selection of mV Signals 0-30 mV or 0-600 mV with resolution of 0.001 mV or 0.01 mV.
- mV Signals of DIN - Thermocouples J, K, N, R, S, T, B, E with or without cold junction compensation.
- Preselected signal steps 0-2-4-6-8-10-12-14V and 4-8-12-16-20 mA

How is Temperature Measured?
Temperature can be measured via a diverse array of sensors. All of them infer temperature by sensing some change in a physical characteristic. Six types with which the engineer is likely to come into contact are: thermocouples, resistive temperature devices (RTDs Pt100 and thermistors), infrared radiators, bimetallic devices, liquid expansion devices, and change-of-state devices.
